When the recipient of your email clicks on one of the links, they will be redirected to a URL such as

http://www.mydomain.net/abc/?utm_campaign=campaign&utm_medium=medium&utm_source=source&utm_term=term

All parameters in the original link will be preserved. This means that you will not loose data during the redirect.
Links that end with .jpg, .jpeg or .gif will not be converted.
